The Office of Business Development is dedicated to help build the region’s entrepreneurial economy.  Through special initiatives aimed to increase the number of early-stage investments along with nurturing tech transfer opportunities, the OBD has been proactively reaching across the state border to help build the I-Q Corridor economy.

The Office of Corporate Relations mission is to serve the increasingly complex needs of the business community and help build a stronger Wisconsin economy in the 21st Century.  This includes assisting tech transfer at the UW and fostering a positive entrepreneurial economy.

Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network
The Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network provides integrated statewide support to Wisconsin’s entrepreneurs.  Through its large network of service providers, WEN offers entrepreneurs across the state assistance with business creation and strategy.





Wisconsin Innovation Network
The Wisconsin Innovation Network (WIN) fosters the state’s culture of entrepreneurship.  Through its six chapters and thousands of participants, WIN serves as the membership eyes and ears for the Tech Council.


WiSys
WiSys Technology Foundation, Inc., a non-profit technology transfer organization for the UW System, promotes research by marketing university discoveries to industry, thereby ensuring economic benefit to Wisconsin.  WiSys conducts the tech transfer of all UW System campuses, except Madison, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.  WiSys has more than 50 technologies suitable for Wisconsin businesses or start-up companies.




Wisconsin Technology Council (WAN Parent Organization)
The Wisconsin Technology Council is the independent, non-profit, non-partisan science and technology advisor to the Governor and the Legislature.  It is the leading catalyst for technology development in Wisconsin and has set growth goals through “Vision 2020: A Model Wisconsoin Economy”
 
CleanTech Partners helps companies reduce energy consumption in Wisconsin by investing money and business resources in the development, commercialization and implementation of technology.  CTP assists Wisconsin businesses to implement new energy efficient technologies that can lower their operating costs.  CTP investment clients are eligible for a number of services -- many free of charge –including technology evaluation, business and financial planning, finding additional investment, government support, business partners and customers.
